First perspective drawing…spent a good 5,6 hrs on this. Lots to improve on in the future.

I’ve been working on my grad piece for four weeks and it’s finally DONE!! I’ve never spent so much time and had so many struggles with just one drawing. My right hand is super raw, I rubbed off my skin due to blending, my knees are bruised due to kneeling constantly, toes are also bruised due to bending, legs and shoulders are super soar BUT it’s all worth it…at the end of the day I still truly love drawing and right after my piece was finished, I missed drawing it already.
It is a 18’ x 10’ (feet not inches) drawing of a tiger hunting underwater. Here’s a sneak peek, I will upload the whole drawing after grad show opening :) which is happening on May 3rd, 5-10pm (I will be there till around 7:30). The show will go on till May 18th. See you all at Emily Carr on Granville Island! :3
How long did it take for you to draw at this level? And what got you started? You're absolutely amazing.
Thank you for your support! I started doing art about 6 years ago, focusing on ceramics but I became very allergic to the glazes and clay, so, I moved onto painting (I miss doing ceramics A LOT and I love painting). After getting accepted into Emily Carr about 3 years ago, I changed my focus onto drawing and I couldn’t be more in love! My drawing skills really took flight at Emily Carr with the help of awesome instructors and tremendous helps and supports from friends. I do art because I love it so much to the point I can’t live without it (I would do sketches in my head if I forgot my sketchbook or when I’m bored, I also see everything as a drawing or a painting or see gestural lines everywhere. Maybe I am crazy :/ ). There are times when I couldn’t draw (physically) and it made me so depressed. Art is a way to connect and understand the world around me, also to express and invited the outside world into mine, to see the world through my eyes, through my emotions, my marks, my energy. Art is also very therapeutic for me, I glow when I draw (or paint/throw) and when I talk about it :)
